Arte y Tecnologa. Procreate, el nuevo lenguaje del arte.
Que la tecnologa est presente en nuestra vida es indiscutible. Que el arte y tecnologa son dos lenguajes de la creatividad humana que estn muy relacionados, tambin. Hoy, el arte ha incorporado la tecnologa a sus procesos. Unas veces utilizada como recurso y en la mayor parte de las veces, como instrumento y herramienta para crear la obra.
La tecnologa forma parte de la realidad contempornea y permite al artista la capacidad de utilizarla. El uso de apps son una herramienta fundamental para los artistas de hoy, que facilitan que lo digital sea un nuevo lenguaje de expresin. Y es un ejemplo de ello.
El proyecto Dolls del artista Oscar Llorens est realizado con Procreate.La revolucin digital abre un abanico de posibilidades infinitas para expresarse. El primer medio que relacion arte y tecnologa fue la fotografa en el ao 1826. Pero hay que tener en cuenta que la tecnologa siempre ha ido ligada a la expresin artstica que ha requerido de instrumentos para desarrollarse, aunque estos fueran rudimentarios. Hablamos de instrumentos como los lpices, pinceles, leos..Un claro ejemplo sera cualquier escultura de Miguel ngel que no hubiera podido ser producida en etapas primitivas, no tanto por falta de creatividad, sino ms bien, por la falta de los instrumentos adecuados.
Desde la Prehistoria, las artes tradicionales han ido evolucionando gracias a la tecnologa. Hoy, no slo permite nuevas formas de expresin de las artes clsicas, tambin posibilita la creacin de nuevas disciplinas artsticas.
Las mujeres de mirada soadora son las protagonistas de las ilustraciones de esta artista apodada Naranjalidad.Ilustracin digital creada por Jaime Sanjun Ocabo, titulada Mirada Objetiva.Una de las principales herramientas de creacin digital es la app Procreate. Es un programa desarrollado por Savage Interactive de software de Australia para pintura digital con una interfaz simple y muy bien definida que permite movimientos naturales de mueca para dibujar. Para aquellos artistas o aficionados que tengis experiencia previa con programas como Adobe Illustrator o Photoshop os resultar muy sencilla.
La caracterstica ms interesante de Procreate es la librera de pinceles artsticos, tintas y tizas que tiene y con la que se consigue increbles texturas con mucho detalle.
Su cartera de pinceles es una de las caractersticas ms fuertes. La herramienta cuenta con ms de 200 pinceles predeterminados y categorizados en 18 estilos diferentes. Se incluye una librera de pinceles artsticos, tintas y tizas para conseguir combinar increbles texturas que gozan de mucho detalle.

Permite todo tipo de personalizaciones, como crear un pincel desde cero, combinar dos pinceles y controlar el color solo con un dedo.
El arte de dibujar letras o Lettering es una de las actividades en las que Procreate es un estupenda alidada. El Lettering, que no se trata de hacer caligrafa, se considera una forma de arte, donde cada letra de una frase o cita acta como una ilustracin.

Pero Kawaii, en Japn, no es slo una forma de dibujar. Se trata de todo un estilo de vida que ha llegado los aspectos ms diversos: diseo de ropa, juegos o incluso cuando nos referimos a la conducta de una persona.
La tecnologa ha llegado para quedarse y transformar, diariamente, nuestra vida. El arte, que se adapta y se realimenta del entorno, no se queda atrs y establece el dilogo para producir nuevas obras.

WalkUp DJ 1.5: Spotify and Lock Screen Controls
WalkUp DJ 1.5 is out. Two things in this release, and they both come from the same place: watching how the app actually gets used in a dugout, which is almost never the way I pictured it at my desk.
If youre new here, is a walk-up music app for baseball and softball teams. Build your roster, give every player a song, and hit play when they step to the plate.
Run the lineup from your Lock Screen
Heres the thing I got wrong in version 1.0: I assumed whoever runs the music is standing there holding the phone.
They arent. Theyre keeping the book. Theyre coaching third. Theyre a parent in the bleachers who got handed the phone in the second inning and also has a toddler. The phone goes in a pocket between batters, and every at-bat means pulling it out, unlocking it, finding the app, and hoping youre still on the right batter.
So 1.5 puts the whole thing on your Lock Screen.
Start Game Mode and a Live Activity takes over. You get the current batter, their number, the song thats playing, and whos on deck plus play/pause and next/previous batter, right there. Tap through your order without ever opening the app. On an iPhone with the Dynamic Island, the same controls are one long-press away from whatever else youre doing.
It auto-advances, too. When a walk-up song finishes or hits its auto-stop, the Live Activity moves to the next batter on its own. If the order holds, you can go a full inning without touching anything but the play button.
That screenshot above is from a Friday night in July. The As game is streaming, and s walk-up song is queued up underneath it. Thats the whole idea the app gets out of the way and behaves like every other piece of audio on your phone.

The most common piece of feedback since launch, by a wide margin: I dont have Apple Music.
Fair. So 1.5 adds Spotify as a walk-up music source.
Connect your Spotify account in Settings, and you can search the Spotify catalog anywhere youd search Apple Music. Theres a toggle in the song search screen to flip between the two, and your choice sticks per player which means you can mix both services in the same lineup. Your center fielders song can come from Spotify and your catchers from Apple Music, and Game Mode doesnt care. It plays the right song for the right kid either way.
Everything else works the same: custom start times so the good part hits first, auto-stop with a fade-out, AirPlay to the PA system or a Bluetooth speaker in the dugout. Songs you assigned before this update keep working exactly as they did nothing to migrate, nothing to re-pick.
Two requirements worth stating plainly, because they arent mine to waive:
- The Spotify app has to be installed on the same iPhone. WalkUp DJ hands playback off to it.
- Spotify Premium is required. Free Spotify accounts cant play a specific track on demand, which is the entire job here.
If you dont have Premium, Apple Music and your own uploaded audio files still work exactly as before.
Everything else
Most of the rest of this release is the unglamorous kind of work. Playback got a lot more stubborn in the situations that actually happen at a field: tapping stop while a connection is still opening, a Bluetooth speaker that takes its time, an impatient double-tap on the play button, a phone that drops to one bar behind the backstop. Every one of those used to have a way to leave the player stuck. They dont now.
I also rebuilt how the app decides which service owns a given song, which is what made mixing Apple Music and Spotify in one lineup possible in the first place.
What it costs
No change to pricing. The free tier is still one team, up to 12 players, full Apple Music search, and Game Mode with auto-stop.
Spotify and Lock Screen controls are both Pro features. Pro is $9.99/year, or the Team Pack is $29.99 once and its yours forever. Thats still less than one month of the streaming service youre connecting to it.

My Android app is not synching. A lot of data has been locally stored, but not sent to the cloud. I only noticed the problem when I made changes in the web app, but those changes weren't reflected in the Android App.
